Restorative
While you may have had beautiful dental work in the past, it can wear down over time. Old metal fillings and crowns may break, and some bridge and denture work may need to be replaced. Dr. Priluck and Dr. Nordone can repair older dentistry and restore the appearance of your natural teeth. Dr. Priluck and Dr. Nordone can use restorative dentistry to repair your smile with these services:
- Root Canal Therapy - Root canal Therapy (also known as endodontic therapy) is the process in which Dr. Priluck or Dr. Nordone treat the inner area of a tooth, known as the pulp tissue. If a tooth's pulp tissue becomes damaged and is left untreated a patient runs the risk of tooth loss.
- Tooth colored fillings - A composite resin (tooth colored) filling is made of a tooth colored plastic mixture filled with glass particles. Tooth colored fillings are 100 percent mercury free, can be used for both cosmetic and restorative purposes and do not weaken the tooth like silver fillings.
- Porcelain crowns - Porcelain crowns (also known as caps) are the most aesthetically pleasing form of crowns available, as they match the color of their surrounding teeth.
- Bridges - A dental bridge, als known as a pontic, is a false tooth which is fused between two porcelain crowns to fill in the area left by a missing tooth
- Porcelain onlays and inlays - Lab made restorations made of porcelain, inlays and onlays are used to repair damage to teeth in a manner similar to fillings.
- Porcelain veneers - Porcelain Veneers can be used to repair chipped, cracked, stained or missaligned teeth. With porcelain veneers you can turn back the hands of time.
